Bijan Perfume by Bijan, Nose Peter Bohm collaborated with the Iranian designer of menswear and fragrances, Bijan, to create the classic feminine scent. The designer immigrated to the United States in 1973 and established his exclusive Rodeo Drive boutique in 1976. The fragrance for women was introduced in March 1987, following the success of the designer’s original award-winning scent. In 1988 Bijan Women won the Fragrance Foundation’s award for Best Packaging of the Year in the Women's Prestige Bottle Design category. Bijan Women comprises over 170 essential oils. Top notes feature exotic fragrances from all over the world: ylang-ylang, narcissus, orange blossom, pimento (allspice), bergamot and neroli. Heart notes are primarily floral, including Persian jasmine, Belgian rose, lily of the valley, carnation, honey, tuberose and orris root, reminiscent of violets. Woody and amber base notes return to oriental aromas of sandalwood, patchouli, cedar, heliotrope and vanilla to complete the complex blend. Honey and amber are prominent throughout, with a subtle sweetness. Sillage is moderate to high.
